How to... Wear Leather

Wear just one article of leather clothing at a time. To avoid looking like Catwoman, wear contrasting fabrics with your leather leggings or pants. Wearing all black can be slimming and sophisticated, but try adding other colors to add personality.

...Who says leather has to be BLACK??? V. Beckham pairs this feminine skirt with a white blouse.

..The biker Jacket... the ruffles and pink lips makes this look feminine with a dose of edge. Rihanna's signature.

Contrast the leather with another fabric. The key to wearing leather well is to slip it effortlessly into an outfit. You won't feel comfortable if you're trying too hard to look tough or urban. Instead, wear leather with a feminine outfit you already have, such as a linen sheath dress or your favorite dress pants and blouse.

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to master mixing fabrics, she pairs it with a blazer, a simple blouse, suede, panty hose, and with the second picture, silk.

Kate Bosworth with a simple silk blouse and maroon leather and basic black pumps.

Emma Robers with leather tights and a feminine blouse of flowers.

Accessorize with leather. If you're still too afraid to wear a leather statement piece, wear leather boots with your jeans or skirt. Depending on the style, your look can be either modern or country.

Kim has leather belt, clutch and shoes, but the top of the dress isn't leather. This was a clever way of making the look seem unnoticably edgy.

Pair leather with GOLD you can't go wrong. Ciara on the red carpet looks stunning.

Wear leather shorts!!! Whitney Port with a purse, leopard shoes, and a simple necklace, and a relaxed shirt.

  Only wear leather pieces suited for your body type. Leather is clingy and form-fitting by nature, which sometimes makes it difficult for curvier women to wear it. Avoid leather leggings and pants if you have thicker legs and stay away from bustiers and tight leather dresses if you have a round stomach.

Rosario looks wonderful in this hugging dress. Why? Because she has the appropriate body for it. :)

Another fitting number for Rihanna, I love this edgy look on her, but she pairs it with a feminine bustier.

Eva Green..tiny waist and a big ass. Appropriate for this dress. :)

I really love how she chose a dress that went GREAT with her skin tone. And then, she didn't do too much, with jewelry, accessories, I really appreciate this classy, simple look.

 

THE BEST OF THE REST:

Selena Gomez is having an excellent week. She really shows that she is versatile, which is much appreciated. From the blazer to the red lipstick, to the bustier to the ruffles, she maintains femnimity. <3

Whitney Port is very California with this striped blazer and strapy platform heels. Very Chic.

I love how Thandie Newton is so Jackie O. Very conservative yet throws in a print that has nothing to do with conservative: leopard. I like how she didn't over-do it with the shoes.

Zoe Saldana, masters the "Casual Chic" look with denim, leather, and leopard heels. Love the makeup and hair as well. :)
